What kind of band saw is suitable for cutting hardwood?
Hi, I'm looking for advice on the bandsaw. I'm trying one with enough power to cut down trees for Purposes of neck banjos. I was wondering if anyone here with experience of using band saws and if I can advise on the band saw will be good enough to do the job and what is the engine power to the minimum needed to cut wood. I am based in the UK so if you could give the saw marks that are available in the UK please. I looked at DEWALT. His time in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
DEWALT is a very good brand. I use a strip of 8.1 inches for cutting very complex and is very strong, and one inch band of 1 / 4 for most of the cuts. Do not press too wood in the leaf and get better control in wide circles and curves. To make a circle 6 inches of turn or even a band group 3 / 8 inches could cure. I Rockwell used a 14-inch and use it to reduce the space for the sculpture of birds. As with HP engine Dewalt allows a band saw that has the power enough for the amateur. Note: Do not force the wood in the band or join the group up or jump off the wheel.
